Turkey, Russia and Ukraine approved Anadolu Efes – SAB Miller Cooperation

Anadolu Efes started to operate jointly with the company taken over from SABMiller. With the capital increase made, 24 % of the shares held by Anadolu Efes are transferred to SABMiller.

As of March 6, 2012, all beer-related business of SABMiller in Russia and Ukraine are taken over since the competition authority has granted all the permits required for takeover transactions. Also, all formalities related to transferring 24 % of the shares held by Anadolu Efes to SABMiller as a result of the capital increase are completed as of March 14, 2012.

Anadolu Efes ranks second in Russia

Adopting the goal of becoming the market leader in all the countries it operates or the second most powerful player, Anadolu Efes ranks the second greatest beer company in Russia since SABMiller’s entire beer business in Russia and Ukraine are incorporated.

Anadolu Efes – SABMiller cooperation covers Turkey, Russia and Ukraine, where the parties operate, as well as Middle East, Central Asia and other Commonwealth of Independent States. With this ground breaking agreement, Anadolu Efes acquired distribution rights of SABMiller brands in that region.
