About Anadolu Efes
Anadolu Efes, a subsidiary of Anadolu Group, was founded in 1969 and quickly became Türkiye's largest beer producer. With its strong vision and efforts to develop beer culture, Anadolu Efes has played a significant role in the industry by introducing consumers to many firsts.
In the 1990s, the Company expanded internationally with the goal of achieving commercial sustainability in global markets. In 2012, it formed a strategic partnership with SABMiller Plc ("SABMiller"), further expanding its presence in the global market. In 2016, following the acquisition of SABMiller by Anheuser-Busch InBev (“AB InBev”), the world’s largest brewer, AB InBev became the holder of a 24% stake in Anadolu Efes.
In addition to its operations in Türkiye, Anadolu Efes runs its beer operations in Russia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Georgia, and Ukraine. Anadolu Efes runs its international beer operations through Efes Breweries International B.V. (“EBI”), its 100% subsidiary based in the Netherlands. Anadolu Efes is also the main shareholder of Coca-Cola İçecek A.Ş. (“CCI”), which runs Coca-Cola operations in Türkiye and abroad.
Anadolu Efes generates nearly two-thirds of its sales revenue from international markets and ranks as the 5th largest beer company in Europe and the 10th largest1 in the world by production volume. The company serves a population to more than 890 million with beer and soft drinks brands in its portfolio.
Anadolu Efes’ subsidiary operating in the soft drinks sector, Coca-Cola İçecek (CCI), is one of the largest bottlers in the Coca-Cola system. CCI is a multinational beverage company operating in Türkiye, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Iraq, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh, Jordan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Syria.
CCI produces, distributes, and sells both sparkling and still beverages of The Coca-Cola Company and Monster Energy Beverage Corporation. In addition, through its subsidiary Anadolu Etap İçecek (Anadolu Etap Penkon Gıda ve İçecek Ürünleri Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi), it produces fruit juice concentrate.
With 33 bottling plants, 3 fruit processing facilities, and over 10,000 employees across 12 countries, CCI serves a population of more than 600 million with a diverse beverage portfolio. In addition to sparkling beverages, its product range includes fruit juices, water, sports drinks, energy drinks, iced teas, and coffee.
