Talent Management

Productivity and creativity are the talents that enable us to sustain a better life. In order to become a preferred employer, we provide a fair work environment in which employees’ talents are valued.

We offer development opportunities to our employees through learning programs. We reinforced our commitment to employee and human rights by the UN Global Compact we signed in 2011.

Our Goal:

In the upcoming periods, we will focus on developing Anadolu Efes performance management approach.

Talent Management Structure:

As an organization, operating in various countries which possess different sociological characteristics, Anadolu Efes aims at achieving in multiple performance dimensions in talent management such as human rights, equality and diversity, employee development and performance management, employee engagement and internal communication in order to enhance creative aspects of human resources.

Due to its varied dimensions, talent management is conducted jointly by the Corporate Affairs Directorate, the Internal Audit Department and the Legal Department whose efforts are coordinated by the Human Resources Directorate.

Anadolu Efes offers its employees a working environment befitting human dignity where their talents are valued. The foremost prerequisite to this is the creation of a work setting in our operations where the norms of human and employee rights are strictly adhered to. Anadolu Efes fully complies with the local laws in the countries it operates. It goes the extra mile by satisfying the requirements of the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the ILO covenants laying down the norms for labour, and the UN Global Compact. Adhering to these norms is part of Anadolu Efes Code of Conduct that specifies our practices with respect to human and employee rights in the work place. As per these principles, child labour, forced labour, and compulsory labour are not allowed in Anadolu Efes operations where labour rights are safeguarded. Anadolu Efes requires that these principles are adopted not only in its operations but also by its suppliers and business partners. Hence, it has made them a part of its purchasing policy. The Anadolu Efes Code of Conduct is also binding for the company’s business partners such as dealers and suppliers and they are a part of its sales contracts.

Anadolu Efes Board of Directors is responsible for safeguarding the human and employee rights in the work place. This responsibility is reflected on operations through the CEO who is also a board member and the Human Resources Directorate, the Internal Audit Directorate and the Legal Affairs Directorate which are part of the company’s top management. The Ethics Committees are established in the headquarters and each country operation and violations of the principles are reported the committee. The Ethics Committees decides on the appropriate action to be taken. The Anadolu Efes Code of Conduct is available for all employees to review and various informative steps are also taken by the company.

Human rights aspects are also addressed in the evaluation of the performances in risk management, internal audit, and sustainability. The results obtained are reported to the executives concerned and the appropriate plans for improvement are implemented. The work done in this area and its outcome are submitted to the attention of stakeholders in sustainability reports.

Beside human rights trainings, in 2015, we have carried trainings for communicating details of renewed Anadolu Efes Code of Conduct with employees. For office workers we have carried training through e-learning platform, for field workers we had classroom trainings and learning manuals. Employee signed documents to approve that they have read the Code of Conduct. Code of conduct trainings contains not only human and employee rights content but also describes Anadolu Efes policies with real-life examples regarding anti-corruption, anti-bribery and relevant ethical issues. Through these learning initiatives, Anadolu Efes policies and procedures regarding human and employee rights, anti-corruption, anti-bribery and relevant ethical issues as well as other aspects disclosed in Anadolu Efes Code of Conduct were communicated to more than 90% of Anadolu Efes employees. Moreover, in 2015, Anadolu Efes employees received more than 2.500 person*hours of human rights trainings.
